I do not know how to call my paintings - visions? fantasies?.. I leave it up to you... I have had a couple of exhibitions in Napier and Auckland and Mangowhai, hope there will be more...

What can I tell you in a way of introduction? At present I live in a caravan parked on a farmland at a beautiful spot surrounded by waters of Kaipara Harbour from three sides 16 km from Kaiwaka (stands for "City of Lights"), in a little community with friends. Our project is just in the very beginning - and I am about to start building an art studio, future gallery and a massage cabin.

I was born and grew up in St-Petersburg, which is considered by many to be a cultural capital of Russia . Big museums, cobbled pavement, canals dressed in stone, and all of that history behind. In my time, however, it was the underground current that moved otherwise stagnating under communism society. A fresh whiff came from the East with meditation practices that I followed and, like an ant of leaf in a fairytale, it brought me across half of the world to New Zealand – such a fascinating country that it is! Nature alone takes my breath away and gives me almost a mythological feeling - more than enough inspiration to keep painting.
